Bonita Q1 Recap
Ready for your Bonita fix? This newsletter is your go-to guide for all things TBP – what we've done, what we're doing, and what's coming soon! Let's dive in! ✨
Hola Bonitas/os!
It might have been a minute since we last popped into your inbox, but get used to it! As of this week, our Substack has grown to over 1,000 followers, which means… we've got to step up our Substack game ASAP.
As we enter Spring and Aries season (shout-out to my fire sign divas!), we're looking forward to new clients, new projects, and most importantly, continuing to do what we love: grow and give back to our community.
In case you missed us on your FYP, here's what the Bonita team has been up to. And I have to give credit to my team – we've been doing some really dope stuff.

New Bonita Client Alert
We are thrilled to announce that The Bonita Project is now supporting global beauty brand, L’Oréal Paris, with some of their multicultural initiatives. We’re excited to be entering our corporate baddie selves and looking forward to some exciting projects throughout the year.
The Latest & Greatest at Urban Decay
Earlier this month, Urban Decay introduced the newest 24/7 Eye Pencil shades to the world and organized an IRL pop-up across CA (and one stop in Vegas!) to celebrate! The Grove in LA and San Diego stops welcomed thousands of UD fans who came by to try out the new collection of nude shades. If you missed out, no worries, there’s still two more stops coming up! Stop by for a pro eyeliner application, free UD goodie bag (while supplies last!), and a photo booth to capture your looks. See below for the deets!

BONITA AMPLIFIES 2025
Bonitas Pop Off in Philly
The Bonita Amplifies 2025 Tour is back! We hosted our third annual Bonita Amplifies Black History Month networking mixer in Philadelphia, welcoming over 125 Black creatives and industry peers. With a thriving Black community that comprises over 40% of its population, Philadelphia is a hub of creativity and culture that often gets overlooked by brands - plus they won the Super Bowl this year (and Jalen Hurts stole our hearts) so we HAD to pop off in Philly this time around. For this event, we also had the pleasure of collaborating with Temple University’s PRSSA chapter to co-host this event and bring the buzz that we needed. Shout-out to L’Oreal Paris for being our title sponsor this year and getting our Bonitas dolled up for the evening.
Celebrating Black Creators in NYC
As we celebrate our third year of Bonita Amplifies, we hosted a dinner in NYC, in collaboration with our newest client, L’Oréal Paris, to highlight our Day 1 creators who came to our very first event in 2023. TBP hosted an intimate and sultry dinner at Aliya, a Black-owned cocktail den in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, known for its delicious Caribbean menu curated by Chef Scotley Innis. Some of our favorites were among the attendees - Khiari, Ikenna Stovall, Iliana Ayala Garcia, Uniekue, Anayka She and a few others.
CLIENT ACTIVATIONS
We hit the ground running with our new client, L’Oréal Paris, and went alllllll out for Black History Month with two back-to-back activations that made noise and kept the momentum up throughout the entire month.
Valentine’s Day Serenades
The first was surprise doorstep serenades for some special Black creators in the NYC area, as part of BHM with a sprinkle of romance to celebrate Valentine’s Day as well. We partnered with AfroLatinx singer, Dariel Amant, who showed up at every creator’s home to sing a custom version of his song “Flores.” Throughout the course of three days, Dariel surprised Black creators with a doorstep serenade featuring a guitarist, a luxe box of chocolates from MarieBelle and bouquet of roses filled with Plump Ambition and Lumi from a local Latina-owned flower shop.
Worth It Mailer
Then, you know, we had to spoil our Black creator community! We curated a mailer that went out to 200 creators with eight priority products across cosmetics, hair and skin, and partnered with a Black-owned jewelry brand Melanie Marie to create a custom “Worth It” necklace. To take that personalized touch to the next level, we also collaborated with Nigerian-American Joycelyn Adeoye (@daredtopaint) to create custom, framed portrait illustrations for each and every one of our mailer recipients, and the reactions were absolutely priceless.
BONITA BEAUTY CREATOR NETWORK
2025 Network Updates
At the beginning of this year, we welcomed over 100 creators to our Bonita Beauty Creator Network, which aims to provide opportunities for emerging beauty creators. Some perks of the network include being part of an exclusive Discord server with other members, PR giftings, event invites, and more.
Our members have been part of exciting opportunities this month, including receiving a L'Oréal Paris mailer just in time for spring and serving as makeup artists at Urban Decay's pop-up event.
If you are an emerging beauty creator interested in applying to the network, you can learn more about the requirements and application details here. Please note, that applications are reviewed on a rolling basis!
